It is with heavy hearts but many warm memories that we announce the passing of Adriana Sacco (nee Barbetta).

A kind soul who touched the hearts of many with her warmth and generosity. Adriana passed away on April 25, 2024, with loving family by her side. Adriana leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever be cherished by those who knew her.



Born on December 15, 1949, in Scigliano, Calabria, Italy to parents, Raffaele & Assunta Barbetta. She is reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Fernando, her parents, and siblings who have welcomed her with open arms. 

Adriana lived a life filled with joy and laughter, finding solace in simple pleasures like cooking delicious meals for family and friends and tending to her incredible vegetable garden. Her passion for life was infectious, bringing light into the lives of everyone around her.



Loving mother to Carmine (Jennifer), Giancarlo (Carmela), and Steve (Susan), who meant the world to her. Proud Nonna to Luke, Isabella, Matthew, Nicolas, Christian, Alyssa, Madelyne, and Maya. Adriana's love for her family knew no bounds, and she found immense pride and joy in watching them grow and thrive. 

She is survived by her siblings in Italy, Michele and Lizetta.

Heartfelt gratitude to the medical team at Princess Margaret Hospital and to the staff at Hospice Vaughan who tended to her in her final days. 

Adriana will be deeply missed but never forgotten by her many family members and friends. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by eternal love and beauty.
