Aleksandra Ten, a beloved mother of two who touched the lives of many, passed away surrounded by her family on September 19, 2024 at the age of 81. Born on July 1, 1943, in Uzbekistan, Aleksandra was known for her kind, warm, and compassionate spirit, which she shared with everyone she encountered.
Her career as an English teacher allowed her to inspire generations of students, imparting not just knowledge but also a love for learning. Her gift for teaching was evident in the way she connected with her students, often going beyond the classroom to mentor and guide them. Aleksandra's dedication to her profession and her genuine care for her students left a lasting impact that will be remembered for years to come.
Beyond her teaching, Aleksandra had a vibrant personality that shined through in her hobbies. She found joy in playing poker and adored visits to the casino, where her laughter and enthusiasm were infectious. Additionally, she enjoyed playing Korean card game Khato, a pastime that brought her closer to friends and family alike.
Aleksandra leaves behind her loving children, Elena (Igor) & Valeriya (Sergey), who is grateful for the countless memories they shared. Proud grandmother to Dima & Sasha. The bond between them was a testament to Aleksandra's nurturing nature and her unwavering support. She is now reunited with her late husband, Bronislav, whose presence she cherished deeply.
Endearing sister to Varvara, niece, Marina, great niece & nephew, Anastasia & Nicholas residing in Canada, sister Natalia residing in Russia, sister Asya (Boris) residing in Kazakhstan, brother Leonid residing in Russia, and respective great nieces and nephews.
A visitation in honor of Aleksandra will be held on September 23, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre located at 5826 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON, M2R 1Y6. Family in Canada and overseas will gather in-person and virtually to celebrate the incredible life of this remarkable woman who brought warmth, love, generosity and kindness into the world.
Aleksandra Ten will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those whose lives she touched with her compassion and love.
