Angela Maria Iaizzo, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 1, 2025, in Georgetown, Ontario, Canada. She was born on May 25, 1935, in Montalto, Uffugo, Cosenza, Italy and then immigrated to Argentina. Angela welcomed all that she met with a warm smile, kindness, a coffee and cookie. She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Francesco.
Angela was always hard working and instilled in her children and grandchildren the importance of working hard to achieve your goals. She would say that it was not having the extra time that allowed you to accomplish what needed to be done, but love. With love or amore, anything was possible. This is how she lived her life everyday.
When Angela was not at work, she enjoyed bringing family together with her home cooked meals, cookies and baked goods. She made delicious homemade pasta, tomato sauce, and meatballs. Her grandchildren would try to be the first to get their hands on her roasted potatoes, to get the crispy ones. Her baked goods were memorable and there was always an abundance, with enough to take the extras home. She was always generous to share her recipes or teach others how to make them. Many cherished memories were created around her kitchen table.
When Angela took time to relax, she enjoyed her other passions of knitting and sewing. She will be remembered by many through the lovingly and passionately knit baby blankets, sweaters, hats and booties.
Angela is survived by her children, Mario (Basia), Rose and Susy (Michael), who carry forward her legacy of kindness and hard work. She leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Nicci, Milena (Ezio), Stephanie, Maddison (Kiko), Evan, Nicholas and Julia. She also leaves behind her adored great-grandchildren, Miles, Rocco and Abigail. She will be missed by her daytime companion and always by her side, dog, Oakley, who knew that being at her side meant extra treats.
Angela Iaizzo will be dearly missed but never forgotten, as she leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to bring comfort to her family and friends. May she rest in peace, knowing that the courage she had to give her family a better life was achieved.
