ANGELA SPATARO

March 12^th, 1929 – January 27^th, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Angela in her 94^th year.

Angela and her husband, the late Giovanni Spataro , originally from  Sicily, made a happy life here in Toronto over 50 years ago.  Angela, famous for her tomato sauce and melt in our mouth meatballs, loved nothing more than feeding her family and friends traditional Italian dishes.  Second only to the love for her family was her little plot of garden that she so lovingly tended that produced an amazing volume of tomatoes and giant basil bushes that went into her award worthy sauce.

Angela/Mom/Nonna will be greatly missed by her children: Mary , Sam  ( Lucy), Domenic  ( Ginny) and Connie  ( Stefan )

Grandchildren :  Angelica  ( Anthony), Jonathan  ( Anna) , Noah , Jonah and Kai

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in memory of Angela Spataro to the Michael Garron Hospital Foundation.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst St.). After the long driveway, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday February 1, 2023 from 10-11am until the commencement of the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Westminster. Entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Mausoleum (4570 Yonge St, North York).
