Antonietta Gucciardi

Antonietta Gucciardi, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025, in Toronto, Ontario, at the age of 95. Born on February 4, 1930, in Sicily, Italy, Antonietta carried with her a warmth and love that enveloped all who were lucky enough to know her. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Francesco.

A caregiver by nature, Antonietta dedicated her life to nurturing those around her. Her loving and kind personality brought comfort to family and friends alike, forging deep connections that will be cherished forever. She had an innate ability to make anyone feel special, often sharing her delicious home-cooked meals and delightful baked goods, which were a testament to her immense talent in the kitchen.

Antonietta is survived by her children, Vince (Mayliza) and Girolamo, who carry forward her legacy of love and care. She also leaves behind her treasured granddaughters, Lea, Amy, and Erin, each of whom holds a piece of her heart. The memories they created together will forever resonate in their hearts, as will the lessons in kindness, compassion, and resilience that she imparted throughout her life.

Her family will honor Antonietta’s memory during a private ceremony on February 28, 2025, at the Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre, A burial service will follow, at Westminster Cemetery & Mausoleum where Antonietta will be laid to rest in the serene peace she so beautifully embodied.

As we gather to pay tribute to Antonietta Gucciardi, let us remember her profound kindness, her culinary delights, and the love she so freely shared. She may have departed from this world, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, guiding them with the light she brought into their lives.
