Antonina Ferrara

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Antonina Ferrara, who left us on January 11, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on January 16, 1936, in Pachino, Italy, Antonina brought warmth and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

A devoted wife, she shared a lifetime of love with her husband of 68 years, Salvatore. Together, they created a home filled with laughter and cherished memories. As a mother, Antonina was a guiding light to her children, Sebastiana (Wayne) and Giovanni (Michelle). Her love extended beautifully to her grandchildren, Christina (Adam), Melissa (Cody), Madeleine and Eleanor, as well as her great-grandson, Gabriel Salvatore, who brought her boundless joy and pride.

Antonina was a social butterfly, effortlessly bringing people together over her beloved hobbies of baking, cooking, and crafting. She was particularly known for her delicious treats and the beautiful baby blankets she lovingly knitted for her family, each stitch infused with her warmth and care. Many joyful summers were spent at the cottage, where Antonina nurtured close bonds with family and friends, creating lasting memories that will be cherished by all who loved her.

Her organized nature ensured that every family gathering was a well-planned celebration of love and togetherness. She had a unique ability to make everyone around her feel special, not just through her delicious home-cooked meals but also through her heartfelt attention and kindness.

She will be fondly remembered by her many family members and friends.

Antonina's spirit will live on in the lives she touched, inspiring them to embody the same love, care, and warmth that she so generously shared. Friends and family will gather to celebrate her life, with visitation taking place on January 17, 2025, at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre in Toronto from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on January 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM, and interment at Westminster Cemetery & Mausoleum at 10:45 AM.

As we mourn the loss of this remarkable woman, we find comfort in recalling the multitude of moments that she gifted us, moments filled with laughter, warmth, and love. Antonina Ferrara will forever remain in our hearts.
