Antonino Capraro

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Antonino (Nino) Capraro, who was born on November 2, 1941, in Montallegro, Sicily, Italy. Nino passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Nino is survived by his devoted wife, Serafina, and his beloved children Antonella and John, Peter and Margherita. He was a proud and loving grandfather to five grandchildren: Johnny, Anna, Anthony, Luca, and Isabella, who were his pride and joy.

In 1965, Nino made the courageous journey to Canada to build a new life, creating a strong and loving family that he held dear above all else. Known for his kindness, big heart, and unwavering passion for his family, Nino touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved.

May he rest in eternal peace.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Antonino to CAMH or Canadian Lung Association

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Friday October 18, 2024 at 11:00am until the commencement of the service at 1:30pm. A private family entombment will follow at Westminster Cemetery.
