Antonio Luis Borga, a beloved pillar of his family and an embodiment of warmth and dedication, passed away on September 12, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on November 18, 1934, he led a life rich in love and laughter, and hard work. He was a true family man, whose heart was as big as commitments. He cherished his beloved wife Maria, with whom he shared 63 wonderful years of marriage, creating a partnership that inspired all who knew them. Their bond was deepened through countless shared moments, from simple joys at home to vibrant outings with family, often filled with stories of their faithful adventures to Portugal.
As a father, Antonio leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. His daughters, Benilde (late Tony), Anna (Domenic), Maria (Nicola), and Adalina (Paul), will forever hold dear the invaluable lessons he imparted about hard work and resilience. His laughter and wisdom were not only a source of guidance for them but will echo through generations to come. His grandchildren – Jason (Gisele), Carmine (Kristen), Joey (Jamie), Daniel, Daniela (Daniel), Domenic (Nicole), Nicole (Danny), and Ashley (Marcus) – were a bright light in Antonio’s life. He bestowed upon them the gifts of his stories, lessons, and boundless affection, fostering a close-knit family, steeped in tradition and love.
Antonio’s family tree continued to flourish with the arrival of his great-grandchildren: Lucas, Victoria P., Gianluca, Victoria S., Isabela, Katherine, Nicholas, Sebastian, Massimo, Dante, and Olivia. They brought him immense joy, each child’s laughter serving as a reminder of the richness of life and family ties. He also leaves behind his beloved siblings: Gracinda (late Jose), Rosalina (late Jose), Clementina (late Mario) and the late Maria (Joaquim). The bonds they shared were strong and filled with fond memories that they will carry in their hearts forever. He is now reunited in heaven with his beloved parents Jose and Hirmina.
Those who were fortunate to have known Antonio Luis Borga will always remember him as a pillar of strength, an emblem of kindness, and a beacon of love. His legacy will undoubtedly live on in the lives of his family and friends, who will hold him dear in their hearts forever.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Sunday September 15, 2024 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Trillium Chapel of Westminster on Monday September 16, 2024 at 11:00am with entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
