Armando Enrico Durante

Armando Enrico Durante, a beacon of laughter and warmth, passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on January 27, 1937, in the picturesque village of Pisticci, Matera, Italy, Armando brought the spirit of his homeland with him when he journeyed to Canada, where he created a legacy woven from joy, love and connection.

Armando's gift for humor, combined with his social and outgoing nature, made him a magnet for friendship, leaving everyone who crossed his path with beautiful memories.

He is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Anna. Armando was a devoted father to Grazia (Renato), Antonietta (Darrell Vito) and Sandra (John). Armando’s heart beamed with pride for his grandchildren, Salvatore (Lisa), Romina (Michael), Anna Maria C., Demitri, Anna Maria P., Michael, Amanda and Matthew. As a great-grandfather, he reveled in the joy that Celina, Sofia, Elena, Grace and Anthony brought him, a reflection of his love across generations. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren will deeply miss his storytelling. He will be missed dearly by his sister, in-laws, nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours who also experienced his unwavering support and kindness throughout their lives.

Armando’s spirit of faith, perseverance, courage and positivity will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
