Costantino Giraldi

Costantino Giraldi, a beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025, in Woodbridge, Ontario, at the age of 83. Born in Rende, Cosenza, Calabria, Italy, on June 9, 1941, Costantino’s journey of life was one marked by dedication and love.

He was married to the late Rita for an incredible 61 years, sharing a love that was a true testament to partnership and devotion. He is survived by their cherished children, Filomena (Gaetano), Marisa (Nectar), and Roberto (Nina), who will carry forward his legacy of love and laughter. He will be missed dearly by his siblings, nieces, and nephews, who also experienced his unwavering support and kindness throughout their lives. 

Costantino dedicated his life to his career as a general contractor, a profession that allowed him to contribute to the lives of many in his community. His talents extended far beyond his work; he embraced a variety of interests that brought joy and connection to those around him. He was an avid gardener, finding peace and fulfilment in nurturing the earth. He enjoyed playing Italian card games, his laughter and competitive spirit often made family gatherings unforgettable. He also took great pride in the art of making homemade wine and his delicious prosciutto, sharing his creations with loved ones who gathered to enjoy the fruits of his labor. Whether it was playing bocce or hosting joyous family gatherings, his warmth and zest for life left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

His legacy of love, laughter, and family will forever remain etched in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St, between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Wednesday January 22, 2025 from 9:30am until the commencement of the service at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
