Elio Cusano

Elio Cusano, a beloved hairdresser, and cherished member of our community, passed away on October 4, 2024, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Born on September 15, 1955, in the charming town or Anzano Di Puglia, Foggia, Italy, Elio brought with him a spirit imbued with vibrant creativity and an infectious love for life.

Elio was not only known for his exceptional skills but also for his deep appreciation for life’s simple joys. A staunch fan of the Rolling Stones, he found rhythm and energy in their music, often drawing inspiration from their iconic sounds. He was an artist at heart, showcasing his creativity through drawing, which reflected his artistic soul and love for expression in all its forms.

He will be deeply missed by his family, which includes his late daughter, Adrianna, whose spirt will forever be interwoven with his own. He was a devoted brother to Giovanna (Mike) and Mario (Rosa), sharing countless memories and moments of laughter that will remain in their hearts. Elio was the son of Lucia and the late Antonio, whose love paved the way for his vibrant life. He treasured his nieces and nephews, Teresa (Frank), Ralph (Cristina), Lucia, and Anthony, finding joy in the special bonds they shared. Elio also adored his great-nieces and nephews, Michael, Eva, Gabriel, Francesco, and Julian, with whom he created many heartwarming memories.

As we gather to honor Elio’s remarkable life, we celebrate the love he shared and joy he brought to everyone he encountered. He leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and cherished memories that will resonate in our hearts forever.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Elio to a charity of choice.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Friday October 11, 2024 at 9:15am until the commencement of the service at 11:00am with entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
