Gelsomina D'Angela

Gelsomina D’Angela (nee Iadipaolo), at 100 years, passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She is reunited in Heaven with her beloved Peppino (Giuseppe). Gelsomina was born in Casalvieri, Frosinone, Italy on February 5, 1924 to Giacinto and Giovanna Iadipaolo. As the oldest daughter, she was responsible for working the fields, while assuming the role of second mother to her younger siblings. Gelsomina spent her life providing for her family. 

Gelsomina was a proud mother to Vera and Luigi (Lina). Cherished “Nonnetta” to Christina, Giuseppe (Amanda), and Nicole; and dear bisnonna to Gabriella and Gianluigi. 

Gelsomina was the loving sister of Raffaele (d.) (d. Ivonna), Anita (d.) (d. Guido), Onorio (Maria), Adelina (d.) (d. Emilio), Antonio (d. Francesca), Maria (d. Ottavio), Vittorio (Agata), and Natalina (d. Gian). “Zia Minella” will be dearly missed by all of her nieces and nephews.  

The family would like to thank all of those who assisted with Gelsomina’s care during her final months as they showed kindness and compassion. The family will be eternally grateful to the team of Bayshore HealthCare, SE Health, and Sinai Health’s Palliative Care.

Gelsomina will be remembered for the strong, hardworking matriarch she was.
