Giuseppe "Joe" Malvaso

April 10, 1952 — March 24, 2024

Giuseppe Malvaso, known affectionately as Joe, passed away unexpectedly in North York, ON Canada on March 24, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and joy.  Joe was born on April 10, 1952, in Serra San Bruno, Vibo Valentia, Calabria, Italy, to his loving parents Bruno and Anna Teresa Malvaso, who he has now reunited with in heaven. He shared 48 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife Mary and together, they raised their children Nancy (Giuseppe) and Steven (Alana) with boundless love and care.   Joe was happy with the simple things in life, and always recognized the value of hard work. He instilled this value in his children, teaching them the importance of discipline and pushing them to achieve every goal they aspired to.   He was very proud of them both and the families they created.  One of Joe’s greatest joys in life was his role as a grandfather.  He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren - Matteo, Savino, Leo, and Emily - he was their number one fan, reveling in each of their unique talents and personalities. Their laughter and smiles brought immeasurable happiness to Joe’s heart.  In addition to his immediate family, Joe is survived by his siblings Mary (Sam), Sam, Pina (Gino), Rob (Maria), as well as nieces, nephews and a close-knit circle of friends who will forever hold him dear in their hearts.

Joe’s existence was marked by his dedication to the simple, yet profound joys of life. He found solace in daily walks with his wife, braving all weather conditions, rain or shine.   Joe’s homemade pizza dough was the epitome of perfection, and he always looked forward to sharing weekly pizza nights with his family.  His commitment to fitness was unwavering, working out daily and eating healthy.   Joe had outstanding tailoring skills, and was the go-to person whenever someone needed a quick hem fix or a garment alteration.

As we gather to bid farewell to this remarkable soul, let us always remember and celebrate the life of Giuseppe “Joe” Malvaso – a man whose warmth, kindness, and passion touched countless hearts and whose memory will live on eternally in our thoughts and prayers.
