Ida Leone

In the gentle embrace of sleep, Ida peacefully drew her last breath on March 10, 2024. Her legacy extends far beyond the confines of time as she now resides in the hearts and memories of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Born on January 24, 1931, she lived a life rich in love, kindness, and passion. She had a gentle soul and a spirit that touched the lives of many. Her presence brought warmth and joy to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

 Reunited now with her loving husband of 57 years Francesco and beloved daughter Mary. Survived by her dear children Pina(Frank Curcio) and Tony(Cindy) Leone. Cherished grandmother to Anthony(Marcella) Curcio, Michael(Stephanie) Curcio, Mark Leone, William(Carlie) Leone and Jonathan Leone. Caring great-grandmother to Leo Curcio and Ella Curcio.

 Ida will be greatly missed by all her family in Europe. Ida leaves behind her sister-in-law Mary and cousins Concetta, Angelina, and Armenia whom she loved very much.

 We’d like to extend a thank you to Weston Terrace Community for such loving and supportive care she received while there.

 One of Ida’s greatest joys in life was sharing her passions with those around her. She found solace in the kitchen, where her baking and cooking skills amazed all who tasted her creations, Her talent extended beyond the culinary arts to knitting, crocheting, and gardening. She will forever hold a cherished place in our hearts as we remember her grace, strength, and unwavering love. May her sprit soar free as she watches over us with eternal love and guidance.

 In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Ida to a charity of your choice.

 Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Sunday March 17, 2024, from 2-4pm & 6-8pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Trillium Chapel of Westminster on Monday March 18 at 10:00am with entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery & Mausoleum.
