Ida Victoria Rouse, a devoted nurse and an integral pillar of her community, passed away gently on October 1st, 2024, at the seasoned age of 93. Born on August 28th, 1931. 

Ida graced the world with her compassion and unwavering dedication to caring for others. Her career as a nurse was not merely a job; it was a calling, an expression of her deep-seated commitment to alleviating suffering and promoting wellness among those she served. 

Ida’s life was a tapestry woven with threads of faith and service; she was an avid churchgoer whose spirit radiated warmth and kindness. Her presence as part of a congregation was a comfort to her and all those that knew her. She embodied the qualities of empathy and love, nurturing relationships that transcended the mundane and touched the divine.

Though faced with loss throughout her life, including the passing of her beloved husband Austin and her cherished parents, Christopher and Geraldine Ince, Ida carried forward with grace and resilience. She was predeceased by her siblings: Joseph, Violet, John, Issac, and Alice, yet her spirit remained vibrant through the legacy they shared.

Ida is survived by her beloved brother, Charles, and a multitude of nieces and nephews who will carry her memories in their hearts. Each of them has been touched by her gentle spirit—her wisdom, and unyielding support—a constant reminder of the love that binds families together

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Wednesday October 23, 2024 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Trillium Chapel of Westminster on Thursday October 24, 2024 at 11:00am with burial to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
