It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Italia (Talina) Roberto. Italia was a remarkable soul, cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life was filled with love, kindness, and countless memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of those she touched. Italia passed peacefully on May 21, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born on April 5, 1932 in Sambiase, Catanzaro, Italy, and throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many with her warmth and compassion. She found joy in the simplest of pleasures; from tending to her garden with utmost care to enjoying the melodies of music that spoke to her soul. Her homemade pasta was not only a delight but a testament to her skillful hands and unwavering dedication to family. 

 In heaven, Italia is reunited with her beloved husband Pietro Roberto. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her children: Raffi (Roy) and Anne Marie (Barry). Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren: Alexandra (Andrew), Patrick (Emily) and Michael (Felicia). Even family pet Murphy will feel the loss of such a caring soul. She was a loving sister to the late Teresina (late Francesco), Chiarina (late Felice), late Francesca (late Giovanni), Rachela (late Nicola), Giovanna (Fortunato), Pasquale (Maria) and sister-in-law to Salvina. Her nieces and nephews will always hold the many memories made close to their hearts. 

 Italia will be forever remembered, loved and missed by all her family and friends.

The family would like to thank all for their love and support in their time of need.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Center (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Thursday May 30, 2024 from 1-4pm and 6-8pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Trillium Chapel of Westminster on Friday May 31 at 10:00am with entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery & Mausoleum.
