Luisa Di Rubbo, a beloved matriarch, and cherished member of her family, passed away on November 9, 2024, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 87. Born on July 27, 1937, in Bellona, Caserta, Italy, Luisa embodied strength, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones throughout her life.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Domenico, whose memory remained a guiding light in her life. Luisa is lovingly remembered by her children, Madeline (John) and Livio (Angelina), who carry forth her legacy of love and strength. Her spirit lives on through her grandchildren: Peter (Sara), Sandra (Thomas), Domenico (Lisa), and Melissa, all of whom were blessed to have her as their grandmother. Luisa's heart grew even larger with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Abby, Liberty, Lillian, Nora, Emilia, Luna, and Liliana, who brought immeasurable joy to her later years.

Luisa's interests and hobbies were deeply rooted in nurturing her loved ones. She had a gift for cooking and baking that turned every meal into a celebration, especially as she rolled out pasta with love and care. Her flower and vegetable gardens flourished under her watchful eye, serving as a metaphor for her nurturing spirit. Luisa always made it a point to have her family gathered around her, creating an environment filled with warmth and togetherness.

Luisa Di Rubbo will be deeply missed, yet her love and spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and adored her.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Monday November 18, 2024 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Trillium Chapel of Westminster on Tuesday November 19, 2024 at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
