January 27, 1934 – February 6, 2025

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Maria Domenica Caivano, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. Maria peacefully passed away on February 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 91. Born on January 27, 1934, in Savoia, Basilicata, Italy. She leaves behind her daughters Angela (Dominic), Elena (Carlo) Linda (Matthew) and her son David. She is survived by her grandchildren Laura, Matthew (Amanda) Steven (Megan), Robert, Alexandra, James and great grandchildren Leo, William, and Felix. She is also survived by her brother Rocky (Rosemary) and sisters Agnes and Lucia. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Gerardo, brother Michele (Giuseppina), brother in law Felice (Agnese), brother in law Franco (Lucia), her mother Giuseppina and father Donato. 

She was a remarkable woman whose love, care and kindness touched the lives of everyone she knew. Her generous spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in her life. Her legacy of love, compassion, and dedication to her family will continue to inspire all of us. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday February 9, 2025, at 2:00 to 6:00 at Westminster Funeral and Reception Cemetery at 5830 Bathurst St. Toronto, ON M2R 1Y6.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday February 10, 2025, at 10:30am at Westminster Funeral and Reception Cemetery at 5826 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON M2R 1Y6. Entombment will follow at the Westminster Cemetery

 In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
