It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of our beloved mother Maria Carnovale on May 30, 2023. Now reunited with her husband Vincenzo, son Michael, grandson Vincent Michael, brothers Frank and Nazzareno. Cherished mother of Ross (Rose), Vince (Anna), Tony (Diana) and daughter-in-law Maria. Loving Nonna to Vincent Frank (Kristin), Vincent Dion, Dominic (Amanda), Marie (Delanyo), Adrienne (Matt), Anne Marie (Jordan), Cassandra (Giancarlo), Nancy, Alexandria, Michelle (Jay), Meagan, Rachel, Katherine, Patricia and Michael. Cherished Great-Grandmother to Grayson, Talia, Charlie, Dante, Jackson and Gabriel. Sister-in-laws Maria, Caterina and Maria. Caring Zia to many nieces and nephews.
Maria immigrated to Toronto from a small town in Piscopio, Calabria. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and bringing people together. Maria will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side); located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, first building on the left. The family will receive guests on Thursday June 1, 2023, from 4-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Friday June 2, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. with entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery and Mausoleum (5830 Bathurst St.).
