Maria Carmine Pascarella, a cherished matriarch, was born on July 8, 1926, in Baia e Latina, Caserta, Italy. She passed away peacefully on August 16, 2024, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, surrounded by her loving daughters. For 63 wonderful years, Maria Carmine shared her heart and life with her late husband, Giovanni, creating a tapestry woman with love, dedication, and shared dreams. Together, they built a family that continues to thrive through the generations, Maria Carmine as a devoted daughter to her parents, the late Clotilde and Luigi, whose legacy she carried with pride. She has been reunited with her siblings.

Her warmth extended through her grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart: Alfonso, Johnny, Franca (Matteo), Joey (Cherie), Emily (Matthew), and Maria-Cristina (Joshua). To her great-grandchildren-Anthony, Melissa, Gianluca, Domenico, Lucca, Valentino, Vincenzo, Matthew, Grace, Antonio, Lucas, Annalise, and Logan – she was not just a grandmother, but a beacon of love, guiding them with her soft words and infectious spirit.
Maria Carmine’s passions painted vibrant strokes on the canvas of her life. She had a melodic spirit and could often be found singing the classic Italian songs that she cherished so dearly. Dancing was not just a pastime; it was a celebration of life that she embraced with open arms. She loved playing Italian card games, spending delightful afternoons immersed win friendly competition surrounded by family. Cooking was another of her treasured hobbies, where she crafted meals infused with love, filling her home with the warm scents of Italian cuisine. Flowers were a passion, and they represented both beauty and fragility, much like the life she nourished in her family. Faith was a cornerstone of Maria Carmine’s life. Every Sunday, she attended church, where she found strength in her beliefs and community. Her spirit embodied kindness, compassion, and an unwavering faith that she shared with all around her.
