Mary Nardi, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on January 21st, 2024. Mary was known for her kind and caring nature, she touched the lives of everyone she encountered throughout her journey. She will forever be remembered for her unwavering love, warm heart, and infectious laughter. Mary embraced life with zest and enthusiasm. She found joy in exploring new places and experiencing different cultures through her travels. Mary had a passion for reading and knitting. She also found enjoyment watching the beloved soap opera “The Young and the Restless.”
Mary’s impact on her family was immeasurable. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Aldo, who stood by her side through thick and thin, providing unwavering support throughout their life together. Mary’s children, Frank (Barb) and Saveria (Rick), were fortunate to have such a nurturing and compassionate mother, who instilled strong values of love and resilience. Mary’s grandchildren, Christian (Lindsay), Alexa (Mason), Alanna (Tyler), and Alyssa, were blessed to have such a wonderful grandmother who showered them with love and affection. She was always there to offer guidance, share wisdom, and celebrate their achievements. Mary’s love extended even further as she became a great-grandmother to Logan, Casey, Tanner, and Tommy who brought immense joy into her life.
Mary is now reunited in heaven with her beloved parents Antonio and Rosa Grieco, her brother Pasquale (“Pat”), and so many others. Mary’s warm smile could light up any room, and her genuine kindness left an everlasting impact on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her extended family, friends, neighbours, and the wider community who were fortunate to have shared moments of laughter and love with her. The family would like to personally thank the caregivers Ellie, Daniella, Ayah, Mariella, Judy, and many others for their support and dedicated work for many years.
Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Thursday, January 25th, 2024, from 2-4 & 6-8pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Trillium Chapel of Westminster on Friday, January 26th at 11:00am with entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery & Mausoleum. There will not be a public visitation on Friday prior to the Service as guests will be invited directly to the Chapel.
