Maxima Roxas

Maxima Roxas, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away on January 4, 2025, in Toronto, Ontario, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on May 11, 1935, in Natividad, Pangasinan, Philippines.

Maxima was known for her loving and caring spirit, nurturing those around her with warmth and kindness. She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Guillermo. Maxima was a dedicated mother to her son, Spencer, and cherished the moments spent with her daughter-in-law, Amparo. Her heart swelled with pride for her grandchildren, Nayah and Gael, who brought immeasurable joy into her life. 

She was not only a pillar of strength for her immediate family but an integral part of a larger family that included her beloved siblings: Beatriz Buena-Agua, Juan Velardo, Marcello Velardo, Remedios Apalla, Bening Velardo, Oleng Rulluda and her niece, Marlene Buenagua-Vasudevan. Their bonds were strong, woven together by shared memories and unwavering support. Throughout her life, Maxima cultivated a passion for cooking and baking, filling her home with the delightful aromas of her creations. She took great joy in nurturing her garden, where vibrant flowers blossomed under her careful tending, mirroring the love she imparted to those around her.

A visitation will be held on January 10, 2025, at the Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre, located at 5826 Bathurst St., Toronto, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life beautifully lived. A funeral service will take place the following day, January 11, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM at the same location, with interment following at 10:45 AM.

Maxima's legacy of love and care will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory and the countless lessons she imparted through her gentle, nurturing ways. Her beautiful spirit will be missed but never forgotten
