Cristian Totan, a loving and devoted father and grandfather, passed away on August 3, 2024. 

Cristian had an undying passion for cars, boats, travelling, classical music, fishing and purchasing “fixer uppers” that he never got around to fixing. Cristian was known first and foremost as an engineer trained in the “real” Romanian education system, and a distant second, as a "trucker".

 Cristian had an unapologetic and dry sense of humour from which no one was safe. Cristian was widely recognized by everyone who knew him as a hard-working, self-taught “expert in everything”. No project was ever “out of his wheelhouse”. 

 Cristian did not believe in complaining about pain or problems. Cristian did not believe in showing fear. Cristian always said that a real man stays calm, thinks logically and finds a way, no matter what obstacles are thrown in his path. Cristian resolutely lived by that mantra until his last breath. 

 Cristian will be fondly remembered by his sons (Camil and Titus), daughters-in-law (Laura and Julie), granddaughter (Rosalie), family in Canada (Luciana, Bogdan and Ana) and loved ones in Romania and Ecuador.

 Cristian may have left this world many years before he was ready, but the memories he created and the values he instilled in everyone around him will be passed on and cherished eternally.
