Pietro Caringi

Pietro Caringi, a beloved husband, father, Nonno, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 23, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on February 21, 1947, in Sora, Frosinone, Italy, to Giuseppe & Assunta Caringi. The youngest of 8 siblings, Vincenzo, (Maria), Domenico (Geralda), Luisa (Enrico), Attilio (Maria), Maria (Giovanni), Antonio (Ascenza), Loretto (Norma). Pietro’s journey brought him through many remarkable experiences that shaped the kind and loving man he became.

Pietro was known for his outgoing personality, a vibrant spirit that endeared him to all who knew him. His humor and charm illuminated the lives of his family and friends. He was a maestro of merriment, frequently captivating those around him with his love for music, particularly the timeless classics of Frank Sinatra, Andrea Boccelli, Claudio Villa and Johnny Cash. Whether singing along or playing his harmonica, Pietro's passion for music was infectious, inviting laughter and joy into every gathering.

Life for Pietro was rich with hobbies and interests that he approached with enthusiasm. He found peace and satisfaction in the great outdoors, indulging in activities like hunting and fishing. His green thumb turned simple seeds into thriving gardens, where he grew vegetables that nourished his family. Skills from his Italian roots manifested in delightful traditions such as making wine and crafting sausages, which became staples at family gatherings and celebrations. He was a skilled carpenter in wood working and specializing in the art of furniture creations.

Pietro leaves behind his devoted wife of 57 years, Fiorentina, who was his unwavering partner throughout life's journey. Together, they nurtured a warm and close-knit family that he cherished dearly. He is survived by his children Assunta (Antonio) and Nicola (Sonia) who will carry forward his legacy with love and honor. His grandchildren, Anthony, Olivia, and Isabella, were a constant source of joy in his life, and he showered them with affection and guidance. He will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews and many family members in Italy, France & the USA.

The memories of Pietro's kindness, humor, and love will remain engraved in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He has left us far too soon, but his spirit will continue to resonate in the songs he loved, the laughter he shared, and the rich traditions he cultivated within his family.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Pietro’s life during the visitation on January 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at Westminster Cemetery & Mausoleum at 1:45 PM, where he will continue to watch over those he loved.

As we gather to remember Pietro Caringi, let us hold dear the memories of his laughter, his musical spirit, and the love he brought to our lives. He will be missed beyond measure but forever cherished in our hearts.
