Rosario Albi

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rosario Albi on October 25th at the age of 91. He departed this world with courage, surrounded by the love of his family.

Rosario is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 66 years, Gioconda, his son Sergio (Sherry), and his daughter Jennifer. He is predeceased by his beloved son Alfredo (Patricia). Rosario was a cherished Nonno to Jacqui (Ian), Jonathon (Shauna), Jullian, Joline, Rachel (Dan), Hannah (Marcus), and Leah (Ben), and a much-loved Great-Nonno to Alexa, Daniella, Stanley, Kashtin and Hailey.

He was a beloved brother to the late Teresa (late Guido), Maria (Gino), Tony (Fiorenza), and Joe (late Lina). Rosario was also a deeply admired and respected brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many.

Born in Malito, Calabria, Italy, Rosario immigrated to Toronto in 1952, where he met the love of his life, Gioconda. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter. Rosario founded the Sia Beverages Pop Company with his father and brothers, and he dedicated over 40 years to the family business. He took great pride in his work, cherishing the time spent alongside his family.

Rosario’s warmth, wisdom, and strength will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Tuesday October 29, 2024 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Trillium Chapel of Westminster on Wednesday October 30, 2024 at 10:00am with entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
