Rosina Pagnotta

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rosina Pagnotta on February 27, 2025.

Rosina was born on December 14, 1926, in Carolei, Cosenza, Italy. Her life was a testament to her courage, hard work, nurturing spirit, and loving nature. Rosina had a remarkable capacity to love and care for others, dedicating herself to her family and friends with unwavering devotion.

She embraced life’s simple pleasures—chatting with family members, tending to her garden, creating exquisite items through her expertise in knitting and crocheting, and cherishing every moment spent with her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her home was always a warm gathering place where laughter and love flourished, and her welcoming spirit made everyone feel like part of her family.

Rosina had a unique way of making each person feel special, taking the time to listen and offer her wisdom and support. Whether it was a comforting word, a delicious meal, or a handmade gift, she found joy in bringing happiness to those around her. Her kindness extended beyond her family, as she touched the lives of friends, neighbors, and anyone fortunate enough to cross her path.

She is now reunited with her loving husband, Raffaele; her son-in-law, John; her parents, Raffaele and Maria; and her siblings, Antonio (Elvira), Luigi (Gilda), Michele (Maria), Eugenio (Teresa) and Felicetta.

Rosina was a beloved mother to Maria and a much-loved Nonna, Bisnonna, sister to Franco (Maria) and Assunta (Franco), aunt, and friend to many. 

Her generous spirit, compassionate heart, and steadfast love will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her and experience the warmth of her kindness. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire those she touched throughout her life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, in memory of Rosina.
