Santina "Fiorella" Tramontin

Devoted wife of the late Peter Tramontin. Loving mother of Mara, Leo (Alison), Jimmy, and Sandy (Lory). Cherished and proud nonna of Ian.  Predeceased by her parents Lino and Anna Degan of Spilimbergo, Italy.  Dear sister of the late Ilario Degan (Edy) and Maria Rosa Della Libera (Mario).  Santina will be remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews, and the many lives she touched.

New to Canada, our parents settled in Toronto where our mother maintained an impeccable and loving home with aromas of freshly cooked food calling the family to the table, and welcoming all who came over. A jar of her preserves, sauce or soup were often in your hands as you hugged goodbye.  As a young widow, Santina was a fiercely independent, strong woman who became protector, provider and caretaker. She found joy and solace working in the garden. A labour of love she freely shared with others with a tour and a bag full of fresh pickings from the varieties of lettuce, tomatoes, herbs, beans, fruits and two-foot zucchinis, to name a few.  We are proud to call her mom and her presence in our lives will be missed dearly.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1^st from 6:00pm-9:00pm at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst St.). After the long driveway, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Thursday, February 2^nd  at 11:00am for the Funeral Service in the Chapel of Westminster (5830 Bathurst St.) Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst St.)
