Saverio Casalinuovo

It is with great sadness that the family of Saverio Casalinuovo announces his passing on January 4, 2024.   Saverio was born on February 21, 1930 in Italy, in the town of San Vito Catanzaro.   He was the beloved husband of Maria (deceased) for almost 60 years and the loving father of Olga, Elio (Petra) and Elena.   He was a loving and caring nonno to Mark, Michael (Kelly), Jessica, Stephanie and Justin and great grandfather to Massimo, Olivia and August.  He will be greatly missed by his siblings Maria, Antonia, Lea, Rosa (deceased), Giuseppe and Vito and his many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. We are left with many memories of a gentle soul, gentle man and a man with great compassion.  May he continue his passion and love of gardening in heaven for eternity. 

Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery; it is the first building on your left. The family welcomes you to celebrate his life and share memories with them on Sunday, January 7, from 3 to 7 pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, January 8, at 11:00 am, with Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
