Silvia D'Alessandro

Silvia D'Alessandro a beloved mother, sister and grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 1, 2024 in Richmond Hill. She was born on November 28 1937 in Cassino, Frosinone Italy where her heart first began to develop a deep appreciation for the beauty of life, a passion that would characterize her remarkable journey.

Silvia's culinary talents were unparalleled, and her kitchen was always filled with the aromas of her delicious dishes. She took pride in cooking for her family and friends, creating not just meals but cherished moments around the dining table. Her love for flowers reflected her nurturing spirit; she found joy in tending to her garden and sharing the beauty of her blooms with others. Silvia was known for her strong and independent personality, a woman who faced life's challenges with grace and perseverance.

Silvia is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Carmine, whose presence in her life was a source of unwavering support and joy. Together, they built a family full of love and warmth, a legacy that continues through their children.

She leaves behind her cherished children: Marisa, Joe (Nadia), Adriana, and Pina (Fred), who will forever hold in their hearts the countless lessons, kindness, and love their mother imparted to them. 

Proud Nonna to Kayla, Carmine (Mallory), Andrea (Jon Paul), Samantha and Michael. Silvia’s strength and independence will continue to inspire her children and grandchildren, as they remember her not just for her cooking, but for her spirit, resilience, and the unconditional love she offered.

Visitation for Silvia will be held on September 5, 2024, at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre in Toronto from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will take place the following day, September 6, 2024, at 10:00 AM, followed by her Entombment at Westminster Cemetery & Mausoleum.

As we mourn the loss of Silvia D'Alessandro, we also celebrate a life that was a beautiful tapestry of love, passion, and dedication to family. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all her family and friends who were fortunate enough to know her.
