It is with the saddest of hearts that we must announce the passing of our beloved and beautiful boy, Tyler. On November 17, 2024 he lost his battle with Loeys-Dietz Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that compromised his vascular system.
Always brave, always smiling, he had successfully survived two complex heart surgeries only to suffer from a tragic cardiac event days after returning home from hospital. Though skillfully and tirelessly attempting to save Tyler’s life, the emergency team at the Hospital for Sick Children couldn’t prevent his passing. He was 13 years old.
Survived by his devoted parents, Jen and Eric, and his loving and supportive Auntie Sue, Grandma Carol, Uncle Marshall, Aunt Ella, Aunt Barri, Cousin Ada, Aunt Tracey and Uncle Alberto, along with countless others who were touched by Tyler’s warmth, friendliness and sense of humour. He will be greatly missed.
The measure of someone is the size of the hole they leave behind when they pass, and Tyler’s was such a big hole. Sleep well and may you Rest in Peace.
