If a life well lived is measured by a loving family and having enriched the lives of others, then Vincenzo Grignano lived an incredible life.
Vincenzo was born in Cattolica Eraclea, Agrigento, Sicily on July 1, 1933. The third of five children, he had a simple but joyful childhood. Right up until his final months he would often reminisce about the sun, the farms, the families and friends that imprinted themselves on his soul in his earliest days.
Married to Maria, they made a beautiful life together for 66 years. She was by his side until his final days. Connie (Richard), Josie (Joe) and George (Susie) remember, with tears and laughs: the garden, the vacations, making wine and tomato sauce, the family gatherings and the love that radiated within the extended family. Proud Nonno to Leandra (Mario), Michelle (Alessandro), Natalie (Matthew), Daniel, Julian, Marie, Sophie, Allie and Julianna, and cherished great-grandfather to Fatimah, Mariam, Meadow, Jax and Thomas; the way they are loved by their parents is truly Vincenzo’s legacy.
Vincenzo was a member of the St. Vincent De Paul society and proud to serve as a Eucharistic Minister and lector at St. Bernard de Clairvaux Parish. A bright and enthusiastic entrepreneur, successful businessman, realtor and beloved landlord. He was always there to help others. He could often be heard sharing stories and espresso at Rustic bakery.
Vincenzo passed away a week shy of his 91st birthday, and though he will be dearly missed, his memory and spirit live on in those he loved and all those who loved him.
