Vincenzo Licalzi, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2024, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 84. Born in Sicily on October 25, 1939, Vincenzo brought his warmth and humor to all who knew him. He is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife of 50 years Maria, parents Calogero and Rosa.
Vincenzo is survived by his loving children Rosemarie Licalzi and Charles Licalzi (Pina Beneventi). He will be deeply missed by his adoring grandchildren, Ryan Charles Licalzi and Lauren Marie Licalzi. Beloved brother to Carmelo, Elenora, Maria, Domenica, the late Vincenza, and the late Rosaria.
Known for his quick wit and love for music, Vincenzo loved listening to Italian ballads. His keen love of music and movies led him to star in the Italian version of Name That Tune “Chi Indovina”. Vincenzo was very loved in his retirement community. He was very chatty with his neighbors and would participate in many of the retirement home activities.
Vincenzo also adored and cherished his grandkids Lauren and Ryan. They always brought a smile to his face.
Vincenzo's memory will live on in the love he shared with those around him. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May Vincenzo's soul rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire love and joy in the hearts of those who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Westminster Funeral & Reception Centre (5826 Bathurst St. between Finch and Steeles on the west side), located on the grounds of Westminster Cemetery, it is the first building on your left. The family will receive guests on Wednesday April 24 from 10:00am until the commencement of the Funeral Service at 12:00pm with entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
