Vittorio Cannitelli

Vittorio was born in San Vito Sullo Ionio, Italy on May 28, 1937, where education was strictly for the rich. Growing up in a small town, he was taken out of school in grade five and went to work as a carpenter, often being asked to build coffins for the villagers. Although he hadn’t received much of a formal education, he had a natural intelligence and obtained the wisdom of experience. His amazing ability to do mental math astounded us all. When in Canada, he took it upon himself to enrol in courses in his pursuit of a Real Estate Brokerage License. With little education and having only a working knowledge of English, Vittorio successfully obtained a diploma at George Brown College.

Vittorio was a humble and hardworking man. A gifted carpenter, he could envision, design and build most anything. With his own two hands, he built countless houses, including family homes, with an unmatched workmanship and precision. Our patriarch left us with a beautiful legacy of humanity, honour, unwavering loyalty and respect. He is immortalized by the the love and memories we cherish. Papa, we miss you and are blessed by how well you loved us.
